Being chased by pirates

Messing with end of life wormholes

I was looking around unknown space, visiting systems in hope of finding a target. I end up finding a high-sec connection. It so happens that at the same time I spot someone doing some logistics ops.

I see an Occator. He warps to a station so I guess it's sort of moving out op and not a refuel run at the hub. I stick around and observe. Soon he comes back and jumps in. I don't want to follow just yet. I give him some time and go in when I think he has already warped off. There are several connections. Unfortunately, he disappears from scan before I can pinpoint his location, but quickly visiting all connections, I find out that Occator pilot is from null, sitting back at the pos. I guess the op is over.

The wormhole is also end of life. I bring out my Dominixes just in case it collapses. I set them to orbit the wormhole cloaked and start scanning the high-sec to see if there are any interesting connections. I find a c2. It is also EOL. I decide to have a quick peek anyways. I have had bad experiences in the past, having wormhole collapse on me and leaving me stranded. However, this time my Dominixes are in high-sec and my cloaky Proteus can easily find its way out. I immediately get excited once I'm in.

A lot of wrecks on scan. Which is great, but it seems I just missed the farmers. There are no ships on scan, so I assume they just finished the site. I warp to the outer planets and find active ships at the tower. Nothing fancy, just a Raven and a Noctis idling. For some reason they are in no rush to reap the rewards of the site. Signature is also despawned, so to get a salvager I would need to scan him. Which is always a risk of me being exposed. I would rather wait, but the wormhole being at the end of life, I might not have much time. While I was thinking my next steps, I see an interesting sight on the Dominix screen.

A fleet of transport ships just came out of wormhole and warped away to the station. I decide to go back and set up a trap. I was thinking of settling near nullsec wormhole and try to catch them on the way back. I have to act fast though, before they came back. I quickly decloak my Domi fleet and go in. Except that only 2 Domis were accepted and remaining one was denied access. Great Scott. Wormhole has collapsed. Talk about bad luck.

A long journey back home

Now I have two Dominixes stranded in the wormhole. I was smart enough to jump in first with Domi, that had probe scanner in cargohold, but not smart, or patient enough to wait and let my scout Proteus go in first. I know it will be a pain to look out for a new exit in a Dominix. Especially when c3 has a null-sec static. There is one k-space active connection to the wormhole. It's the same null system I was going to setup a trap. I refit to interdiction nullifier and get on my way to save my potatoe ships.

I really dislike null-sec. For some reason, I feel more comfortable in pirate infested low-sec than null. While traveling, I see a lot of bubbles and a lot of blobs. Some more bubbles and some more blobs. The fleet sizes that passed me got me really nervous. A lot of small and fast ships, traveling same direction and trying to catch that lonely Proteus on the way. I had some really close calls. Proteus is not exactly fastest aligning ship so I almost got decloaked on few occasions. But I made it. In half an hour I was back in the same system with my battleships.

It was clear that there was 0 chance I could get my Domis alive through null-sec. I needed a high-sec or low-sec exit. And, of course, there is none when you need it. I started scanning. A desparate scanning if you will. I wanted to get my gang back together before day ended.

I managed to get a low-sec connection. It was not helpful as it was too far away. I kept scanning and found few more low-sec connections. 16 jumps was the closest I could get. 10 of them is through low-sec. Instead of shipping my 2 Dominixes to high-sec, I decided to get remaining one from high-sec to low-sec. I got a cloak and a microwarpdrive. I should be fine.

The chase

The journey was even more stressful than in null. I was traveling through Easily Excited area. It's a well known pirate corp. But I was born and raised in low-sec, I was confident I could make it.

I go in and, as expected, first gate is a gate camp. For pirates to see a Dominix Navy Issue jump in is like a hot juicy steak for hungry hounds. They will want it and they will want it bad.

This time, steak was doing mwd+cloak trick. I warped safely few systems, but I had all gang chase after me. Soon I started to see interceptors catching up with me, thanks to slow warp of battleships. It was getting really stressful. Every time I got away, they would have full fleet waiting on the next gate to try again. Fast lockers, fast ships, just waiting for me to make a mistake. I have to admit, I panicked and midway warped to station instead. I still had 6 jumps to go and I was not sure I could make it till the end. I warped to 0, which is big mistake. I could end up 2km off the station and get tackled before I could get into docking range. Thankfully, I was lucky enough to drop to 0.

I went afk for a bit, trying to bore pirates. After awhile they got tired and all of them left the system, apart one guy, that was docked with me. I know he was waiting for me and probably others ready too. It was getting late, so I decided to continue with my trip. Sure enough, smell of steak undocking got to them and within minutes we were back again where we left off - them trying to decloak and tackle my Dominix.

Their killboard is always active. Are they really that hungry for a Dominix Navy Issue to chase 7 jumps out? I guess there is always room for a steak.

I taunt them in local. If they have chased my so far, smalk talking in local won't make it any worse. Of course they would feel very rewarded if they got me. I would. I'm at my last gate. I land and think if I should jump or not. Warping to bookmark is a bit more distracting than spamming warp button to anther gate. I might delay half a second, which could be enough for them to get me. I decide to warp to station. This time I had my scout sitting on undock. They did not even tackle me, they were so confident I will jump in as I always did.

I taunt them some more, while safely sitting at the station. I have scout watching them. Had they taken more seriously in decloaking part, they should have a dedicated ship for that, like full speed fitted Dramiel for instance. If they had, I probably would be writing a different story. But as expected, they gave up just after few minutes. They saw that I had eyes on them and my ship escaping for last several jumps did not boost the morale. Soon my Dominixes were reunited and I settled-in in a new home.

Doing sites behind enemy lines

Universe is quite small. Or at least it seems so when you keep appearing in the regions you used to live. I end up this time in Derelik, a jump away from HQ of my ex low-sec corp - Volatile Instability. A great bunch of guys. I really enjoyed flying with them. Too bad the area they live can be very quiet. To quiet for my taste.

I try to say hi, but don't get any response. Since I'm here, I decide to do some scanning. It seems the guys have been sloppy. There's 6/10 DED site right in the middle of the system. I think for a few minutes if I'm bold enough to snatch this plex in front of a pirate corp. I come to conclusion that yes, I am. I go to station and swap my cloaks for extra heavy neuts. There is no real danger of getting my ass dropped in a deadspace. Plus, unless the fleet comes for me without any logi ships, 3 pvp Navy Dominixes is not something to be trifled with. Most dangerous time is very beginning - after first acceleration gate. Once I'm one room ahead, my gtfo possibility raises exponentially. I get to work.

I keep checking that d-scan like a maniac. Doing a site in potentially dangerous environment can give you a good rush. I also know there is Pandemic Legion scout flying around, looking for easy targets for it's black ops fleet. Not a suspicious fella at all, in a 3 man corp.

While I'm safe from hot drops, it would not help me if I got tackled at the start and suddenly a large fleet jumped in. But I relax more once I enter second room. When starting the 3rd, I actually want them to come for me.  I'm more than ready to give some "what for" to some tackle cloaky Lokis. And it looks I might get my wish.

I see combat probes on scan. Short range check gives me no doubt that I am being scanned. I'm in the last room. That bloody Overseer tanks really well. I can't break him with my sentry guns, so I start throwing Ogres on it, that of course get targeted and killed, since I can't get any aggro without weapons.

My scanning Proteus is sitting on the entrance and I see Loki decloak and go in. This is it, he is coming for me. I am a bit worried, because battleship is not exactly the fastest ship to lock a t3. It would really suck if he snatched the loot. I do my best to finish the job and burn to the wreck asap, while tanking enormous incoming damage. Even with reps, it is omni tank, so I am barely evening it out.

I keep waiting for that Loki to come. I see him on scan, but then he disappears. Did he change his mind? Even if he is full slave-fit with faction stuff, I should be able to break him, before his gank squad burns through 4 acceleration gates, 40-60km average distance between each. I wait some more, but he doesn't come. Then I see legion come to the site. Fuck it, it is getting too late. I go back to station with shitty loot.

A whopping 200 mil. A Phantasm blueprint that is just over 130mil worth. A useless faction gun that nobody uses and a box. Doing these sites really feels like a waste of time. Then again, I don't really do them for isk, more for opportunity to gank the ganker, or even for fun, if you can believe it.

I get back to station, get my trusty cloaking device and go back to my wormhole. I jump and align/warp my Domis one by one. Just in case someone decloaks to tackle me, I can cloak up and do mwd trick any time.  Once the I'm down to last ship, I suddenly see Loki decloak and tackle me on the gate. I jump, only to find Legion on the other side. I align, cloak and pulse my mwd. Soon I'm in warp like there was nothing there. If there's one thing I learned during my low-sec days, is that traveling through dangerous areas without cloak and microwarpdrive is a suicide, especially in a fat and shiny ship like Dominix Navy Issue.

Life in Rancer

I have been trying to find my place in EVE. After my wormhole corp disbanded, I wanted go back to pirate life. In my early days I moved to low-sec. I became pirate and have been enjoying this type of life for a long time. I have been very fond of those days so I wanted experience same thing again.

Finding Rancer

I've been in several corps, but didn't really fit in. Either it was too small, too big, area too inactive or something else. I was giving up hope, until I found a recruitment ad in eve forums. It was TunDraGon corp. They seemed to do everything I was looking for.

✓ Gate camping
✓ BLOPS dropping
✓ Smartbombing
✓ Baiting

In other words, being sort of assholes. Not to mention, they are living in Rancer. A well known system through EVE. One of transit systems between Jita and Minmatar space that people go through. It has some traffic. Unfortunately, everyone who has been playing for awhile, knows Rancer and tries to avoid it. For good reason. Everyone in corp multiboxes. Some guy multibox 10+ ships.

He usually uses t1 logi, but I've seen him use 10 smartbombers and kill a cloaky tengu. It was amazing. It is something I wanted to do, however with ISBoxer key broadcasting now being illegal I do not know how he is not getting banned. Good for him I guess.

Smartbombing covertops

So how does our schedule look? Well, something like this:

Everyday we smartbomb. These guys are experts at it. When I used to smartbomb in my early days, I used to use stopwatch to measure covert ops and try to time smartbombs on that second. There is much easier way and I can't believe I haven't thought about it.

One guy "rolls" one by one his smartbombs while others wait for aggro message to appear and then quickly rolls theirs smartbombs. End result - dead covert ops frigate. It's amazing. I had so much joy killing cloaky ships, pods, interceptors. It's something I really wanted to get out of my system.

There is nothing more rewarding than killing a 2 bil pod passing by.

Or catching 1 bil worth travel fit interceptor that thought nobody could lock him and it is safe to transport goods.

So this is the life in Rancer. You do not have that many fleet fights. Since I joined the corp, we have been dropped only once. Dreads were dropped and they failed to kill Vargur with 10 Augorors repping him, before he jumped out. Then again, all corp is fully equiped with triage Archons and Dreads themselves. Most people leave Rancer alone and we continue smartbombing.

While it's been quite fun to be a traffic control of Rancer, it kinda gets boring. I love smartbombing and killing players that do not expect to be killed, but getting 300 mil pod is not so rewarding anymore. It became routine pretty fast and I need to think what I should do next. to spice up my game.

To be or not to be?

Or should I say: to kill it or not to kill? What kind of stupid question is that, you might ask. Well, sometimes your spirits are just not into it. That's how I felt when I was checking out systems and saw a Myrmidon on scan in one of the lowsec systems.

A gank without passion

I am passionate about what I do. If I hunt someone, I try to be as efficient and as discreet as I can be. The more challenging is to get a prey, the more rewarding it is to kill it. However, there are times, when you see someone and you have second thoughts if you should kill him. This mostly happens with new players that look helpless. Meet IIIMIWYTKAIII. A month old player. His name strikes the one of an alt, however after watching him for awhile, doing an anomaly, I began to think he might be a legitimate new player, with a weird name.

He's just doing the site, in a very slow fashion I might add, but doing it non the less. System is a lowsec pocket between two highsecs. I am not sure if he is aware that he is in lowsec. There are few neutrals in local, but mostly it seems to be passers by or afk at the station.

While watching him, I start moving my Domi fleet that is several jumps out. There's nothing else to do. I also scan the system. In other words, there is a lot of activity going on for Myrmidon pilot to be concerned of. I wouldn't be mad if he just warped off. Heck, with such low motivation, I would even prefer it. So while my slow battleships make their way to lowsec wormhole, I am hoping, that there will be someone else aiming for an easy kill. I would love to see some cloaky t3 taking the "bait". Unfortunately nothing happens.

It also doesn't look like Myrmidon pilot knows about triggers. Seems like he can barely tank the rats and thus keeping his distance. I don't know what kind of dps he does from so far away, but my guess it's not much. I have a feeling he will call it quits soon, so I might just grab him now since my Domi fleet is here.

It takes but a couple of seconds and ship blows up. When looking to his killmail I get nostalgic. The ship I spent most time in doing stuff in my early days was a Myrmidon. It's a bit special to kill a pve fitted Myrmidon.

Isn't it adorable. Those t1 mods, not fully rigged, max cap rechargers. So cute. I hope he grows big and strong and starts flying shiny ships. Until then, I hope killing him gave him some excitement and he will stick around, especially after calling me an asshole in local.

Update on pirate life

So I have been camping with cloaky proteus quite a lot for the past few days. Mostly what I I get are empty pods. Nothing much to show for. Problem with cloaky proteus is that it can only fit 3 smartbombs, which are only capable of destroying shuttles and pods. Even if there's an assault frigate or interceptor, you can't kill it. Of course you can fit 5 smartbombs with almost full rack of reactor control units that give you extra powegrid, but that I consider a bad business.

I am prepared to lose my ship at any time. I take precautions, but I know I will be killed eventually. With 3 smartbombs I can fit some warpstabs and inertial stabilizers. The fast align time and "immunity" to point reduces risk of exploding greatly. I still have fitted Rokh, but after warp changes it is so slow, that I am not sure I will use it much. It was very handy during my earlier time in lowsec. Biggest advantage was, that I could smartbomb cloaked covertops frigates based on their timing. I need to try and do that too, but with so many gates where I live, it is very hard to collect data (actually using stopwatch to time pilots coming in and out of the system).

Smartbombing Rokh

It has more extra power that is needed to kill anything above shuttles and pods. It also has more room for error in case you have bad timing compared to Proteus. Sometimes I get aggro, but pod or shuttle still manages to pass, which means some smartbombs were out of sync. Here's my top kill so far:

Lovely. I really do enjoy role playing a wall that some travelers hit on their way. The downside is that area has quite little traffic. And most traffic is either covert ops or interceptors. You would think what's wrong with interceptors? They are too damn fast. Perhaps I haven't learned timing yet on when to smartbomb when they land, because watching them get into tactical overlay always ends up being too late. I found that once I see them on overview, pressing my keys few mili seconds later is close as I can get. Nevertheless, I only managed to kill one ceptor out of 10 and even that one felt as a lucky shot more than anything else.

Gate camping

If there would be customs officer role, I probably would fit it well. Smartbombing small fast ships and gate camping bigger ones is like a customs office you have to pass. I am still very rusty and doing very beginner mistakes such as putting a web too soon on a ship with full rack of warp core stabilizers. I use couple of remote sensor boosting Dominixes, so my Proteus can instalock pretty much most of the ships. It's always fun to kill by passers. I don't care what others say. Gate camping and smartbombing are being looked down on and a lot of people in local hardly resist not to flame on this "skill-less" type of pvp. Even though I am always up for occasional roam and pvp opportunities. There are a lot of wormholes connecting to different areas, unfortunately we haven't done many of those fleet ops yet. Perhaps that will change in the near future.

My first fuck up

To finish, I would like to share my latest fuck up. It's really embarrassing. Everyone piloting multiple accounts will probably understand. So here I was, scouting gate for incoming pods. I have been scouting for half an hour in covert ops Proteus. All is usual, except suddenly I see falcon decloak and scram me. That was a big surprise. I assume I got decloaked or never actually turned my cloak on and just been sitting there like a retard. Few seconds later I see a bunch of black opses on my ass.

I'm quite happy with myself. Happy, because I did not panic. I did not aggro falcon to try to escape. As soon as I saw cyno, I just calmly ejected and Proteus anticlimactically exploded. I saved my 3 day training time and a pod. It really sucks losing, or should I say - sacrificing, ship this way, but that's how it is. Next time, I hope it will be a bait.

Life in lowsec

It's been several days since I moved in to lowsec. Logistics is a pain. Even owning a freighter and a jump freighter, buying stuff, moving, fitting, some more moving, it's a nightmare. Nevertheless, I put together a ship that I wanted to try out for awhile - cloaky smartbombing proteus.

I've been flying around to get some kills. I scored my first one quite successfully.

Impressive, I know. Unfortunately there were a lot of targets that I missed. Sometimes I do not know what I am doing wrong. Seems like I activate my smartbombs exactly same time when pod or shuttle gets in range, but they just pass by without issue. Go figure.

Thug life chose me

I'm already below -5. Highsec is closed for me now. I won't be able to bring a ship with me now. Let's see how fast I can get to -10. Killing few pods should help. Location where I live might not be perfect. There are so many gates and so many options for pilots to fly to. Usually when I watch them warp, by the time I align after I fall behind few seconds, even with superior warp. I need to change my game. Perhaps roam further out. I am pretty sure I will soon screw up and will die horribly. Even with multiple scouts.

I also need to do some gatecamping, but so far, corp doesn't seem to be much into that stuff. Perhaps they just need a little push. Sometimes we get quite a lot of traffic, sometimes nothing at all. We also need to take care of constant hot droppers roaming around, but that's always a risk. Just need to play it smart. Anyways, I have capability of doing solo camping, but if ship is fitted with afterburner, I will not be able to kill it in time before he burns back to gate. I will follow up as I go. It's been hard to find much time for play lately.

Unexpected kill

Recently I have set out on one of my usual hunting trips. Me with my trusty proteus, accompanied by my trusty dominixes, surrounded by an empty wormhole space with no local. That is all I need. My bags are packed with drones, cap boosters, probes, mobile depots and few extra modules - anything I need to be self sustainable.

Nothingness

It seemed I found a nice wormhole to settle in. 15+ member corp. Few sigs and anomalies in most cases indicate activity. Further background check showed that corp was with East Europe timezone, which suited me well.

After stalking for a couple of days and keeping eye on the corp I found zero activity. Either I was very unlucky and missed them, or corp is just few guys with their alts and not a single member logged in. That is quite depressing. I know it is always hit or miss, but you still hope for some sort of activity. Since CCP does not provide API kills anymore, I can't see if any activity happened when I was logged off. In these situations I follow my gut. And my gut said, - "go out and explore." And thus I did.

Adventure finds you

Things started looking up. I was happy to see 2 more connection available in addition to null static. More wormholes - more opportunities. I quickly scanned them out and started checking out the chain. Nothing out of the ordinary. Just bunch of empty wormholes with bunch of empty posses. Man, how I wish CCP introduced hacking skill to unanchor poses that are without forcefields. A man can dream...

Finally I get to a c3 with a lowsec static. I usually love c3s. Those are wormholes that people like to solo in some shiny t3s like tengu and they usually have good connections to other c3s and lowsec. I love lowsec. It normally has more c2-c3 connections, some doable plexes and no bubbles. I decide to check it out.  I jump in and see I am alone in local so I start scanning. Couple of seconds later I get +1. Not that I mind, probably just a traveler anyway. Dscan shows cerberus.

Afters canning for a couple of minutes I still see the guy in local and cerberus is still on scan. There are also no stations. Now it starts to pick my interest. I quickly check his position. Is he in the anomaly? No. Is he in the belt? No. Is he at the tower? No. A rough guess shows he is in empty space.

Just minding my own business

Now, normally I would try to pinpoint his position in more detail, warp to the nearest celestial, align to his position and combat scan him in a few tries. That is what I do in wormholes anyway. Since I was not trying to be particularly stealthy, I said screw it, and replaced my core probes with combats. I was not trying too hard. Scanned him out in about 3 tries, casually reorganizing probes on his signature each time, fully expecting him to be on his way.

I get a hit and start warping in. Having so many targets warp off asap I throw probes out, or see them go while waiting for re-calibration to end, I was still taking this opportunity with a grain of salt. I order my dominixes to warp to lowsec wormhole just in case. I land 26km off cerberus. Ok, this is interesting. Guy is just shooting red crosses in what looks like a mission and doesn't give a shit. I decide to slowboat to scram range, but unfortunately I am decloaked. I overheat my mods and go at full speed. Point landed. Suddenly guy realizes what is happening and starts to pickup speed. Unfortunately for him, he is in my web range now and soon after - in scram range.

Domies jump and are on the way. Meanwhile I open convo with the pilot. I ask for a ransom, but all I get are question marks. Probably another guy who doesn't speak english so I close convo and continue bringing slow painful death. Finally his ship explodes. Almost 300m kill. Not bad! I also take a gamble and shoot the pod, which turns out to be empty. Damn.

Weirdly, I receive a follow up mail from the guy:

So he could speak english after all. Sigh... A whopping 12B in his wallet. That must be a lot of missions. Too bad he doesn't value his time and pay off ransom to avoid trip to the market and buying new ship. Not that he would though.

I pack my bags and move on. Eventually I come across a c4. 1 anomaly, few sigs and some average corp. I decide to settle in. Will I have better luck this time? Time will show.

In pirates I trust

It was time to get back home. Nice low sec connection with just several jumps from high sec was going to make it rather easy and fast. Lowsec is usually an interesting place, full of pirates and blood thirsty people that will go out of their way to get you. Nevertheless, for me it feels like home. I feel less anxious when flying in low sec, than high sec.

Traveling through low sec

I jump through to the first LS system and immediately notice few guys in local with their suspect timers. Not too many people in local, about 5 or 6, but blinky status means some sort of hostile activity recently took place. Interesting. I do a background check and it turns out some small russian corp, shooting helpless travelers. Next jump shows a bit more scary local, with 12+ people, but all from different corps, none from the russian corp though. I have no idea if these guys have some sort of positive standings and if I should expect more trouble than  from one corp, but it doesn't matter. I want to have some fun.

I stick around, fly a bit. See random proteus and an abbadon on scan. Looks like they docked up to station again. I also see a falcon and an arazu lighting cyno for a carrier. All guys from the same corp. Still, that's only 5 people. And they can't drop a carrier in the same system. I decide to go for it. Land with my domies on the gate, stick around and give their scout enough time to notice me on the gate. After a minute there's still no activity. I think I should not have warped all my ships at the same time. It might look a bit too much to chew. Anyway, as getting home was my original plan so I jump through and proceed traveling to the end system, my WH exit.

Travel seems to go without any issues. Even with such slow warps for battleships I manage to get to the last system safe and sound. I leave my scout behind to scan the system, perhaps to find some targets for later shooting. As soon as my domies jump to connecting null and warps home I see 2 hostile ships land, with flashy characters that are from the corp I was trying to "bait". I guess they woke up a bit too late and tried to catch up with me. Well, that was unexpected. Had I known I would have waited to give them a proper welcome, but the game is not over yet.

Have a pirate to catch a pirate

Seeing as I "escaped", pirates do not stick around too much and go back to their home system. Meanwhile I send out a ping to whoever is on and gather the fleet. This could escalate nicely. Since they had few ships and a carrier, this might get interesting. I get my scout back to first LS system and watch, with hope to see an active camp or some gate action, while fleet still waits on the wormhole. After a little bit of waiting, nothing happens, so I decide to take this to the next level. I order fleet to jump and we go towards that lowsec system.

Fortunately there are 2 "side systems" which are empty that we can use in order to "hide" from local. However, we must pass the "active" system with 12+ local. We try to be as fast as we can and hope that we do not get reported into some joint local intel channel. We get to one of the empty systems and start camping the gate while I proceed and jump in with my proteus to do some fishing.

Now as an ex pirate, I think I have a good feeling what to expect. Pirates won't engage me in a "fair" fight, so they have to be confident that they can kill me or atleast be able to get out if things go south. I come to system and go straight for high sec, don't mind me, just doing casual business traveling. Take out my alt out of system as he has been there too long and probably became "too suspicious". Local is clean. In a couple of minutes, I come back with my proteus, linger on the high sec gate and jump in. Unfortunately noone is there to greet me. Perhaps I was too fast as I see a proteus undock and an abaddon on scan. I warp to station to see whats up. Sure enough I see the ship standing on station. Meanwhile I see their scouts jumping in and out to the system with a lot of neutrals. Surely they are checking for a backup fleet or something. I keep ordering my fleet to warp between two systems as I have no idea whether they will decide to check our system and if so, from where.

Meanwhile abbadon proceeds to engage me. Game is on! I guess they feel quite confident about me now. Time to get this party started. I dock and undock, to see abbadon 300km away losing sentry aggro. I quickly use this time to "escape" and warp to the gate where I saw their proteus. Sure enough, when I land I see it, at least 10km from the gate, now together with the loki. This is it, I get my weapons hot and get tackled before I tackle him back. I order my fleet to jump and warp to me. Unfortunately, local spike is noticed and loki gets away, while proteus stays scrammed and webbed. Soon fleet lands and we make a short order of the ship.

Seems loot fairy was not in the mood today, but we take what we get. In the end, a kill is a kill . It did not escalate as I have hoped for and perhaps sending only second tackle first, before jumping all the fleet in, would have netted us also a loki kill, but hunt is a success and t3 is always a nice prize to have.
